In the last decade, the channels to serve customers have changed drastically. E-Commerce has become more and more relevant, not only in domestic business but also in international business. It gives Swiss companies, including the large number of SMEs, new opportunities to sell their goods and services in European and global markets. At the same time, the rise of E-Commerce created strong new competitors, leading to new challenges.
On behalf of the Swiss Confederation and the Swiss cantons, Switzerland Global Enterprise promotes exports and investments by helping Swiss firms to identify and realize business opportunities abroad. In her role as Head of Strategic Projects, Alexandra Schaer-Schiller advises Swiss companies about the potential of cross-border E-Commerce. In her presentation, she will explain opportunities and challenges of cross-border e-commerce as a new way for Swiss companies to reach customers across Europe and the world.
