The Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX)

The Center for Research on Extremism, C-REX, is a internationally leading center for the study of right-wing extremism, hate crime and political violence. The center, which is based at the University of Oslo, was founded in 2016 as a direct response to the right-wing terrorist attacks in Norway on July 22, 2011. It is a joint collaboration with six Norwegian institutions and four international institutions on extremism research. It serves as an international hub on multi-disciplinary research on right-wing extremism, uniting perspectives from political science, sociology, history, anthropology, criminology, psychology, and media studies.
