The European Union is the most important export destination for Switzerland and plays a significant role for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Across the EU, many industries have shifted towards digital sales channels. This creates opportunities for Swiss SMEs to access this large but competitive market through e-commerce. At the same time, cross-border e-commerce presents considerable challenges, especially in the areas of marketing, logistics and administration.
Jan Hiersemenzel will provide an overview of market opportunities and challenges within the European Union and discusses market entry strategies for Swiss SMEs when entering these markets through e-commerce. Drawing on his experience as a consultant at Switzerland Global Enterprise, he offers practical guidance to help Swiss SMEs successfully master this process.
