Fieldtrip
Jérémy Anquetin will organize a one-day excursion to the Swiss Jura mountains, to visit Jurassic field sites and study fossil turtles housed at JURASSICA museum, which is located in the town of Porrentruy in northwestern Switzerland.

The excursion will take place on Saturday, June the 29th. Attendees will meet in front of the Natural History Museum of Fribourg at 7:45.

Program
Departure is scheduled for 8:00 and travel to Porrentruy will be by bus. Arrival time in Porrentruy is expected to be around 10:00. A two-hour tour of the JURASSICA Museum and its paleontological collections will be given to the attendees. Lunch will take place at 12:00 at the Banné excavation site and access will be given to the attendees to the recreational dig site to look for fossils. The visit of the Chevenez quarry will start at 14:00 to present the context of discovery of the Late Jurassic turtles and dinosaur tracks. Good shoes are recommended. Return trip to Fribourg is scheduled for 15:00, with an estimated arrival time around 17:00.
