"With each language we learn, we discover a new world — the world of others, but also a previously unknown part of ourselves."
Language lessons take place on Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday is our excursion day and therefore free of lessons. All students take an online placement test and are divided into groups according to their level. Our courses are interactive, activity-orientated and linked to the thematic focus of the respective weekly module. Depending on the topic and activity, weather, mood and desire, lessons take place in your living room or outside (in a café, at the market, in the park, in a museum, etc.).
You will receive 1 ECTS per week for active participation in the language course (including homework) and cultural programme (excursions, workshops and expert meetings). At the end of the summer school you will receive a certificate.
If you are interested, you have the opportunity to prepare for the Russian certificate exam TRKI as part of the summer school, take it and obtain the state-recognised Russian language certificate.
In addition to the Russian course, a Latvian beginner’s course is offered. Participants can choose either of the two courses.
