Concept

The retreat provides an excellent opportunity for the students to interact not only with their peers but also with postdocs and group leaders of both Universities. Master students in Neuro- and Developmental Biology are invited to present their research in a poster session and to get input for their projects.

As in previous years there will be a workshop session on academic and non-academic career paths with invited speakers from different companies and from university. Apart from fascinating presentations, you will enjoy a “breathtaking” social program that includes some challenging team contests. At the end of the retreat you will get the opportunity to join us on a small hiking trip.

The location in the Swiss Alps is a UNESCO World Heritage. We have reserved for you the entire Hotel Alfa Soleil, which is equipped with a lovely seminar room and 32 unique bedrooms. It also offers a lounge and bar to discuss further all the exciting research. An excellent chef will provide us with culinary highlights for the retreat dinner.
